Kelly Zhou is a full-stack web developer, journalist, and multimedia enthusiast based in New York, N.Y. Kelly is fluent in HTML5, CSS3 (LESS/Sass), JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, and MySQL, and also has experience with Angular and Ruby on Rails. She currently works as a web developer at True North Inc. in Manhattan. Kelly's responsibilities include building and maintaining custom enterprise WordPress systems and other accessible, standards-compliant websites for major nonprofits and Fortune 500 companies. Her day-to-day work involves REST APIs, Postman, Jenkins, Git version control, Jira, Gulp/Grunt, npm, and AWS services.

In a prior role at Method Technologies, Kelly worked on dozens of client websites, from custom builds to WordPress and Joomla systems. Kelly has a strong background in responsive design (CSS flexbox/grid, Bootstrap framework), wireframing and design, and SEO best practices. Her skills include Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator; Google Tag Manager; and Google DoubleClick Manager. She is highly comfortable building compliant emails and creating Mailchimp campaigns, tracking pages with Google Analytics, managing projects from technical and business perspectives, and communicating effectively with clients.

Kelly is a Bay Area and California native who graduated from UCLA in 2013. She previously worked as lead web developer at Method Technologies and was a reporter at the Orange County Register, a regional news publication with 2.7 million unique monthly visitors. Kelly's roles have included positions at Participant Media, the UCLA Daily Bruin, UCLA Magazine, 23andMe, and more. Landing page for all of the Daily Bruin's print, online and video content during the 2012 presidential and state elections. Exit polling was also recorded and automatically updated on the website on Election Day.
